| EDUCATIONAL COUNSELLING @In the recent years, school refusal, bullying, suicide etc amongst children at puberty are becoming serious social problems. In order to counter these situations, we set up an educational counseling room, in 1997, which deals with problems and the worries regarding education. We have an aim to provide carefully designed education that respects the individuality and potential of each child. @In addition, Karuizawa Junior High School has a counseling specialist since it was appointed by the Ministry of Education as a model school for school counseling in 1998. As the trend toward the nuclear family accelerates, the social structure is at a turning point as internationalization, advance information society etc is emphasized, and the environment of children is changing continually. Under these circumstances, we would like to support children, with a corporation of school, parents and local people, to grow up with strength to live in these tough times. @If you have problems and worries regarding your child's physical and medical disabilities, school refusal etc, please consult an educational counselor and/or school supporter. @We will discuss and give advice so that your child can attend a school that is more suitable for them. Please contact the board of education if you wish to take counsel. CONTACTS FOR TELEPHONE COUNSELLING
