However, we will consult patients in case of an emergency. ●The first visit or from the second visit to the hospital 　If you are visiting our hospital for the first time, please fill in "The new patients' consultation application form" and "The questionnaires about your current health conditions" which are available at the reception, and submit them at the reception with your health insurance card. 　If you have visited our hospital in the past, register your visit at the automatic reception machine and insert your consultation card in the "Box for consultation cards" at the reception of each department. 　Please note that we check the patients' health insurance card every month, even of those who have visited us in the past. Please make sure to bring your health insurance card when you visit us for the first time in a new month.

Hospitalization ●Hospital visiting hours 　2:00pm〜7:00pm 　Please refrain from visiting the patients outside the specified visiting hours as the patients need to rest quietly in bed, and we have a routine round of a doctor's call and checkups on patients which can be interrupted otherwise. ●Other reminders 1. During your hospitalization, please follow the instructions of your doctor and nurses and observe the hospital rules. 2. Inside the hospital buildings are all non-smoking. 3. When you are admitted to hospital, please refrain from coming in a private car. 4. We decline to receive any monetary reward or gifts from the patients when they become hospitalized or leave the hospital. After our patients become well, if they feel appreciative for our care then we feel that it makes our job worthwhile.

Emergency patients 　We accept emergency patients who show rapid health deterioration or persons who require emergency treatment due to an accident 24 hours a day even on non-consultation days and during out of hours consultation. 　On the weekdays between 5:30pm and 8:30am the next day, Saturdays, Sundays, Public holidays, generally it will be a duty doctor who will consult the patients. When visiting the hospital during these hours, please call in advance and bring your health insurance card.

The date, time and locations will be informed in the "Bulletin Karuizawa" and "Health Services Administration Annual Plan schedule".

Health Care Class 　Based on the theme "To enjoy a healthy and active life", we consider healthy lifestyle through blood pressure measurements, exercises, cooking, study meetings etc.

Health Consultation 　We provide all-round consultation services regarding health and mental health, including consultation on the prevention of lifestyle-related diseases such as blood pressure, issuing of maternity handbooks, advice on raising children, explanation on the results of the general health examinations etc. The consultation services are available from Monday to Friday, 9:00am〜12:00pm at the Health Center. The consultation on child's growth and notification of pregnancy is until 11:30am.

Nutrition Consultation 　This consultation is aiming to improve your dietary life that may cause high blood pressure or diabetes. We give you dietary advice, for example on low-salt diets and other types of diets which prevent obesity. We also help you gain the correct knowledge about lifestyle-related diseases, and support you to improve your lifestyle and health.

Health Event 　This is an annual event that is held in March. The event is lead by the health instructors group who present their research and activities relating to health. In this event, the participants consider the importance of good health management and the right diet.
